BECOME A COMMERCIAL Partner

With strong commercial partnerships, we can realise our mission to enrich the lives of children and young people with improved outcomes.

DELIVER generational change with us

The Paul Canoville Foundation has grown significantly in terms of reach, impact and reputation in the last two years.

Our Charity has gained support through grants, the goodwill of individual donors and the hard work of willing volunteers, motivated by Paul Canoville’s story of resilience and determination, but also more recently by the visible impact of our Foundation’s work with respect to our work supporting and inspiring young people.

In order to continue this growth and to achieve our mission to enrich the lives of children and young adults with improved outcomes, we are seeking commercial partners to assist towards the funding of our core activities.

OUR 5-YEAR PLAN

RECENT Partner PROJECTS

case study:

LAMBETH YOUNGSTERS

We delivered a programme of free coaching sessions in Lambeth, funded by a grant from the Sport England Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Activity Fund.

Alongside the activities, Paul discussed the importance of education with the children and, as usual, had a captivated audience (well, almost all of them were 😂)

Each day, the 100+ children also received food, refreshments and today a Paul Canoville Foundation replica football top.

case study:

C+C DIVERSITY

We received funding from Advania to help deliver a bespoke inclusive professional apprentice cohort.

We used our community networks to attract applicants from underrepresented groups into a selection process and then worked with their Hiring Managers to identify the successful candidates.

Alongside the successful hires and their Managers, we identified the best learning and career pathways for them, resulting in a cohort of young people that are now studying towards Level 6 qualifications on paid careers within Cyber Security, Data & Insights and HR.

BBl event

Each year we work with Chelsea Football Club to deliver a special Black & Blue Legends event at Stamford Bridge, celebrating their rich cultural heritage since Paul Canoville’s debut in 1982 as Chelsea’s first black footballer.

At the last event we partnered with Chelsea FC, The ONE Group, QPE and The PFA, who provided financial support for us to deliver an acclaimed event.

TIED TOGETHER

A bespoke jacket and scarf inspired by Paul Canoville and acclaimed designer Nicholas Daley was launched during Black History Month and available in the Chelsea Megastore at Stamford Bridge and via their online store, with proceeds from the Tied Together collection donated to our Foundation.

The jacket sold out within hours of its global release!

Chelsea players gave their backing to the project, with men’s team captain Reece James leading a line-up including Levi Colwill, Sam Kerr, Conor Gallagher, Kadeisha Buchanan and Zecira Musovic.

CRIMESTOPPERS / FEARLESS

“Fighting hate crime including racism and supporting young people to achieve their best, are key priorities for our charity and for The Paul Canoville Foundation” – Crimestoppers

We partnered with Fearless, with Paul calling on current and ex pro players to follow his lead and support Fearless.org to help cut youth violence through their anonymous reporting service – click here for more.

NATIONWIDE EDUCATION PARTNERSHIP

We are partnering with educational institutions across the UK that are committed to improving their equality and diversity practices. As partners in our community, we will build learning environments together that stand tall as examples of positive change, working towards a more just and equitable society.

Education partners get bespoke support from the Paul Canoville Foundation with evaluation and annual target setting, measuring the progress of your school, promotion and affiliation with our education partnership programme, access to specialist membership services and much more.

This initiative is part of our 5-year plan to partner with over 100 schools across the country, with the aim of positively impacting 300k children and young people every year.

co-funding case:

bLACK HISTORY MONTH EVENT 2024

We are handing over the baton to our young people for 2024 and have the support of Chelsea Football Club to include participation of male and female first team and academy players in the event.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an event that is widely publicised via Chelsea FC’s media channels and also through our trusted partners.

co-FUNDING CASE:

PRIMARY dRUG AWARENESS

This programme has been developed in response to a change of policy that sees schools recommended to deliver drug awareness to Year 6 children ahead of their transition into secondary education. We are delivering a bespoke programme alongside the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster Council and the Westminster Archives, centred on our Founder’s life story, including his experience with drugs. Over the course of 18 months we will directly engage with more than 1,000 children.
